छत्तीसगढ़  लोक सेवा आयोग द्वारा आयोजित ‘राज्य सेवा परीक्षा’ तीन चरणों में संपन्न होती है :-
 

1. प्रारंभिक परीक्षा 
2. मुख्य परीक्षा
3. साक्षात्कार 

प्रारंभिक परीक्षा  
 

प्रारंभिक परीक्षा वस्तुनिष्ठ प्रकार (objective Type) की होती है तथा  इसमें दो प्रश्न पत्र होते है जो एक ही दिन में 2 पाली में आयोजित होते है :-

•  पहले प्रश्न पत्र  में भारत एवं छत्तीसगढ़ के  सामान्य अध्ययन से  सम्बंधित प्रश्न पूछे जाते हैं , जिनका  कुल पूर्णांक 200 अंको का होता है,·  जिसमें भारत का सामान्य अध्ययन 100 अंको का तथा छत्तीसगढ़ का सामान्य अध्ययन 100 अंको का होता है एवं प्रत्येक गलत उत्तर हेतु सही उत्‍तर के लिए निर्धारित अंक का 1/3 अंक काटे जाएंगे।
•  दूसरे प्रश्न पत्र   में सी.सैट. की परीक्षा होती है, जिसमें गणित, रिजनिंग, हिन्दी भाषा, छत्तीसगढी भाषा, संचार कौशल से सम्बंधित  प्रश्न पूछे जाते  हैं  जिनके  कुल 100 प्रश्न तथा पूर्णांक 200 अंको का होता है । प्रत्येक गलत उत्तर हेतु सही उत्‍तर के लिए निर्धारित अंक का 1/3 अंक काटे जाएंगे। दूसरा प्रश्न पत्र केवल अर्हकारी प्रकृति का होता है| इसमें प्राप्त अंको को मुख्य परीक्षा के लिए चयन हेतु नहीं जोड़ा जाता |  

The 'State Service Examination' Organized by the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission is conducted in three phases:-

1.Preliminary examination

2.Main exam

3.Interview

Preliminary Examination

The preliminary examination is of objective type and consists of two question papers which are conducted in 2 shifts on the same day:-

1.  In the first question paper, questions related to General Studies of India and Chhattisgarh are asked, which carry a total of 200 marks, in which General Studies of India is of 100 marks and General Studies of Chhattisgarh is of 100 marks and for each wrong answer. 1/3rd of the marks assigned to the correct answer will be deducted.
2. In the second question paper There is an examination of CSAT in which questions related to Mathematics, Reasoning, Hindi language, Chhattisgarhi language, communication skills are asked, with a total of 100 questions and a total of 200 marks. For each wrong answer, 1/3rd of the marks assigned to the correct answer will be deducted. The second question paper is only qualifying in nature. The marks obtained in this are not added to the selection for the main examination.
